Support closure of Cookridge Street to general traffic, although very important that access is retained for cyclists. Dedicated, protected cycle facilities should be provided, both along the Headrow and at the various junctions. Fully support the wider footways and general improvements for pedestrians.

This road is sometimes closed to motorists and works well when there are events on. Care needs to be taken with a cycle route crossing through pedestrians so the cycle way must be clear.

Support the closure which will create a much needed space in a great setting. Needs a clear segregated cycle lane set to eastern side (pic shows down the middle) and going the whole way through to avoid conflict with pedestrians. This will enable a larger more adaptable pedestrian only space.
