This may be the schematic picture rather than what is intended, but the new seats look to be lower. Not good for elderly people who are likely to be major users?

The problem with the bus shelter on Boar Lane featured in the illustration is that it is very long and many buses go from this. Hence it is not clear where people should queue for which bus.

I prefer the enclosed type of shelter? As well as safety it is shielded from the elements! Particularly important on wet and windy days in Novemver or February!

Safety is an important factor, both actual and perceived. I personally don’t like the current bus stops on New Briggate – lots of people milling around rather than queueing. People passing by on the street mingling with people waiting. Easy for someone to come up behind me and pick my pocket? I feel safer with a barrier behind me and being able to see who is front of me and what they are doing. I wouldn’t feel safe to use my mobile phone here.
